Famous Face: IMOGEN HEAP

Imogen Heap is by far my favourite artist.  I am a die-hard fan.  Her music is something other than just music.  There's so much depth to her work.  I can listen to her music over and over again and never get tired of it because there's something new to discovery somewhere inside of it each time.

The first time I heard Imogen was in the song "Let Go" which was by her then duo group, Frou Frou, in the movie Garden State.

Imogen has a unique style when it comes to her music, and also when it comes to her look.  I respect her sense of style very much.

Check out some pictures of Imogen below, as well as some fun facts!

Imogen Jennifer Jane Heap was born on December 9, 1977 in the London borough of Havering.

She is Grammy award winner.

Although she is a solo artist, she teamed up with Guy Sigsworth to create one album, Details.  They called themselves Frou Frou.

What sets Imogen apart from a lot of other artists is that she not only sings, but she writes, produces and mixes all of her own music.  She is classically trained in piano, cello and clarinet.  She also taught herself to play a number of other instruments, including some less known instruments (and some of my favourites) such as the mbira and the hang.

Famous Face: DREW BARRYMORE

Drew Barrymore has been one of my favourite actresses since I was young.  She has a uniquely appealing personality and is such a talented actress.  She has appeared in a variety of movies of all genres.  But she's not just an actress, she is also a philanthropist.  She has been involved in such organizations as the United Nations World Food Programme, The Best Place To Start, and Much Love Animal Rescue.  And to top it all off, she's a Cover Girl!  Below are some facts, fun info and pictures of the wonderful Ms. Barrymore!

Drew Blyth Barrymore was born February 22, 1975 in Culver City, California.  Drew was born into a family of actors.

She made her first appearance in an advertisement at 11 months old.  She made her film debut in 1980.

In 1982, she starred in E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial.  This was her breakout role.

Drew become a Cover Girl model and spokeswoman in 2007.  Cover Girl partnered with her because "she emulates the iconic image of Cover Girl with her fresh, natural beauty and energetic yet authentic spirit."

Here are some more beautiful pictures of Drew!

I love the makeup in all of the pictures above!  The last picture if from a Cover Girl ad and it is one of my favourites :)

Thanks for everything you do Drew!  Keep it up!

My New "Famous Faces" Series

Hey everyone!

I have decided to start doing a blogging series on "Famous Faces".  Basically, this will entail me blogging about someone famous, either to show their amazing makeup, or to discuss the impact they have had on the makeup and/or fashion industries.

I'm not sure if this will be a weekly, monthly, or whenever the heck I feel like it thing, but I'm definitely excited about it!

Once the Famous Faces series gets under way, give me your feedback and let me know what you think!

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Shadow Pencil

I recently started using the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Shadow Pencil in "Rehab" and I'm quite impressed.

This is a thick "pencil", if you can even call it that..."crayon" seems to be more of an appropriate term if you ask me.  It has a smooth texture that is much creamier than a pencil.

Urban Decay offers a variety of colours in this product.  I tested a number of them out on my hand in the store and I just couldn't resist buying "Rehab".

Rehab is a brown/gold shimmery colour that adds a bit of glamour to an everyday natural look.

I would definitely recommend the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Shadow Pencils.

The only downside is that, like a lot of Urban Decay products, they are a little pricey.  One of these pencils will run you $20 in America and $24 in Canada (prices from www.sephora.com).  Despite this fact, I still highly recommend almost all Urban Decay eye products.  Their shadows, for example, are some of the most pigmented and silky-smooth shadows I've ever used.
